Emergency services attended the scene of a road incident outside Louisburg this morning involving a cyclist.
The incident occurred on the main Louisburgh to Westport Road between the junction at Kilsallagh and the junction at Old Head.
It happened shortly before 8am.
The cyclist was taken from the scene to Mayo University Hospital , “as a precaution”, according to Gardai.
The road is now clear.
Council management urged to let the community know what’s happening.
