Creches are “gearing up” to shut down in protest over funding.
The Sunday Independent reports 151 creches have withdrawn from the Government’s scheme.
They say its not viable and have warned parents their bills could approach 1,400 euro a month.
Ahead of last year’s general election, Fine Gael promised to cap the cost of childcare at 200 euro per month, per child.
