Roscommon County Council has announced the Creative Roscommon Open Call 2026, inviting community groups, artists, and cultural organisations to apply for funding to bring creative projects to life across the county.

This year’s Open Call offers three exciting strands of funding:

Community & Creative Collaboration – Supporting partnerships between creatives and community groups to deliver innovative projects that engage and inspire.

Creative Climate Action / Heritage / Biodiversity – Encouraging creative responses to heritage, sustainability, and climate change, including projects that promote clean energy, biodiversity, and adaptation to changing weather.

Outdoor Cultural Events – Bringing vibrant cultural experiences to Roscommon’s outdoor spaces, including Roscommon Square and Amphitheatre, Somers Park Castlerea, Boyle Pleasure Grounds, and the Grounds of King House.

Grants of €1,000 to €5,000 are available for projects that celebrate creativity and community spirit. This initiative is part of Roscommon County Council’s commitment to fostering cultural engagement and supporting local talent through the Creative Ireland Programme.

Applications open on 19 January and close on 27 February 2026 at 5pm.

Full guidelines and application details are available online, along with video tutorials to assist applicants:

Community groups, artists, and cultural organisations are urged  to seize the opportunity to create projects that reflect Roscommon’s rich heritage, address environmental challenges, and bring people together through outdoor cultural events.
