Hundreds gathered in Ballaghaderreen on Sunday afternoon in protest to planned public realm enhancement works in the town.
Many locals, including business owners and public representatives, are against elements of the plans which they believe will be detrimental to local business.
The plans include the removal of 47 parking spaces and the widening of footpaths.
Local councillor Micheál Frain says that the ball in Roscommon County Council’s court, and Deputy Claire Kerrane has wrote to the council CEO seeking amendments to the plans.
