Mayo County Council has launched a funding scheme aimed at supporting homecoming events which encourage members of the Mayo Diaspora to travel home to the county throughout 2026.
Applications for the Clans of Mayo Homecoming 2026 scheme are now open and more information can be found at www.mayo.ie/ClansOfMayoHomecoming.
Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Cllr Sean Carey, said: “This new funding scheme is the perfect opportunity for Clans and families to stage a Homecoming event in 2026, to come back and celebrate not just Mayo, but the history and heritage of the different Clans that have their roots in the county.”
