A community meeting is to take place on Monday to discuss a planning proposal which includes the construction of a 2.7km-long public amenity track at Crossmolina as well as a permanent bridge across the River Deel.
Community members have been invited to Hiney’s Upper Deck at 8pm on Monday to discuss impacts on the local area.
The application was made by Bord na Móna Powergen Ltd. who are seeking to use the bridge and track as part of a Turbine Delivery Route to transport components to Oweninny Wind Farm Phase 3.
The turbine parts will arrive at Killybegs Harbour, County Donegal before being transported to Oweninny, with works only required along specific parts of the 188km route.
