Coillte are urging the public to be cautious this bank holiday weekend as a status orange high forest fire risk is in place nationally.
They’re asking people not to light fires in the outdoors, even as small as a campfire, as this poses a risk to spread.
Additionally, for anyone who comes across a wildfire or forest fire this weekend, they are urged to contact the Fire Services on 112 or 999.
