Cloonfad road re-opens to traffic

The Cloonfad to Williamstown Road has re-opened to traffic this evening, following the collision of a lorry this morning in Cloonfad

Gardaí responded to reports of a single vehicle collision in the Cornabanny area of Cloonfad, on the road towards Williamstown, at approximately 5:30am.

The lorry driver, a man in his 40s, was brought to Mayo University Hospital as a precaution, following the collision.

A section of the road was closed to traffic for most of the day today, as a result.
