The turnaround time for council houses to be made available to new tenants when vacated need to be significantly improved.
That’s the strong view of Ballinrobe based Fianna Fail councillor Damian Ryan.
The councillor is insisting that Mayo County Council needs the maximum turnaround time to be 3 months – from the time a council housing unit is vacated and available again to new tenants.
In a housing crisis, he says, any longer is simply too long.
