The current lessee of a popular bar, restaurant and guesthouse in County Roscommon has announced that their time in charge will come to an end next month.
Durkin’s of Ballaghaderreen has been under the management of Patrick Sharkey for the past five years, and he will close his doors for the final time on July 18.
The owner of the premises says that the renowned location will continue to operate within the hospitality sector in due course.
In a statement issued on Facebook this morning, Mr. Sharkey said:
“I have been blessed to have made great friends from our wonderful customers and am humbled by the amount of support received over the past 5 years from the community of Ballaghaderreen and all the surrounding areas. “
