Minister James Browne has given the go-ahead to Roscommon County Council to proceed with 9 affordable housing units at Tarmon Manor Castlerea under the Starter Home Purchase Scheme.
The homes will be offered to eligible first-time buyers and fresh-start applicants at a reduce price, under the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme.
The announcement follows a campaign calling for more affordable housing in Castlerea.
