The country’s 174 TDs are to get a bumper pay rise of €2,273 from today, just three months after being elected to office.
They will get the cash boost as part of the 2024-2026 Public Service Pay Deal.
From today March 1, they wget a 2 per cent increase and this will be followed by another 1 per cent increase on August 1.
The basic annual salary for a TD from today is 115,952 euro.
Members of the Seanad are paid  81, 206 euro annually from today – a €1,500 pay rise on March 1.
