Irish farmers are continuing their campaign against the Mercosur trade deal – despite the agreement being signed in Paraguay yesterday.
Ratification of the deal is still pending though, with MEPs set for a heated debated next week over calls to block it.
President of the Irish Farmers Association, Francie Gorman will travel to Strasbourg on Tuesday for a protest outside the European Parliament.
He says it’s not a “done deal” yet:
The role is now worth €60,112 a year.
