A Castlebar based councillor has called for an increase in the number of respite beds currently in place in the county town.
Independent councillor Harry Barrett says there was 4 respite beds in Castlebar before Covid, but now there is only 1.
He has called on the HSE and local health authorities to act swiftly to address the issue.
