A West Mayo councillor is asking why Eir didn’t seek international help like the ESB did to restore the network in rural areas.
Independent Ireland councillor Chris Maxwell says many people are still without phone service and internet service five weeks on after Storm Éowyn.
He says Eir should seek help from Europe just like the ESB did to speed up the process in restoring the full network.
