A Charlestown councillor has said that income from social housing rent should be directly reinvested in its maintenance and repair.

Sinn Féin Councillor for Swinford Gerry Murray said that there is too much reliance on the private sector and that Mayo County Council should be employing more people to maintain houses that it owns.
