A call has been made for the RSA to introduce a mobile NCT testing centre in Belmullet to improve access to vehicle testing services in the Erris area.
Senator Mark Duffy, along with Michael Conroy Motors and Councillor Gerry Coyle, is seeking the introduction of the service following discussions at a recent Oireachtas committee meeting.
The proposal was raised as one of a number of possible solutions to help address challenges around access to NCT facilities for people in the region.
One local Councillor says its a congestion and safety matter.
