Uisce Éireann crews are investigating a burst water main which is impacting supply to customers in the Crossmolina area this evening.

Homes and businesses in Rathnamagh, Crossmolina and surrounding areas may be experiencing low pressure or intermittent supply as a result of this burst.

Alternative water supplies in the form of tankers have been made available to impacted customers.

The tankers are located at Rathnamagh and Abbeytown.

Customers are reminded to bring their own containers when drawing water from the tankers, and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure.

Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann said that crews are currently on site investigating the source of the burst and will commence repairs as soon as possible.“We acknowledge the inconvenience that supply disruptions such as these can cause for our customers, and we thank the local community for their understanding while our crews work to locate and repair this burst,” said Colette.
