From this Wednesday, BreastCheck will be providing breast screening at a mobile screening unit on the grounds of Mayo University Hospital.
BreastCheck is a screening service for women aged 50-69 who do not have symptoms of breast cancer.Â
Women in the county are beginning to receive screening appointment letters and BreastCheck is encouraging all women who get one to attend their appointment and, in the event that they can’t, to contact their BreastCheck unit.
The mobile unit will remain in Castlebar until all eligible women have been invited.
