Ballina Contemporary Art Fair takes place from this Thursday, (27th February) to Saturday, (1st March) at Ballina Civic Office Gallery, Arran Place.

The first of its kind in Ballina, this art fair presents an opportunity for art lovers to purchase high-quality works by West of Ireland artists at accessible prices—while supporting both artists and the Ballina Fringe festival.

The Festival returns in 2025 for its 8th year and provides a showcase for local arts in addition to bringing high quality arts and events to Ballina. It seeks to offer something for everyone, and many of its events are free.

The Contemporary Art Fair will be an important fundraiser for the festival, with every piece sold on a 50/50 split, with half of the sale price going directly to the artist and the other half supporting this year’s festival.

Over 80 art works ranging in price from €20 to €1000 have been submitted for sale.

Opening night takes place Thursday evening at 7pm at Ballina’s Civic Office Gallery, located beside the Motor Tax Office, with the fair opening again 10am-4pm Friday and Saturday 1st March. This event is free to attend and all are welcome.
