The Cathaoirleach of the West Mayo Municipal District, Belmullet based councillor Sean Carey, is again appealing to dog owners to known at all times where their pets are.
He says as lambing season is underway there continues to be too many horrendous attacks on sheep and lambs.
He made the call at the monthly meeting of the Belmullet/ Westport Municipal District.
