The North West SPCA in Ballina are urgently appealing for short term fosterers.

The charity says they have a number of small and medium sized dogs that urgently need a foster home.

North West SPCA was set up over 20 years ago by a small group of ladies based in Ballina to cover the northwest, but over the years case loads have increased to such an extent that they are now covering most of the county.

Rachael  Slater of the North West SPCA says the option of fostering a pet is a great opportunity for someone to see what it’s like to have a dog before they give that full commitment.

She has been giving more details to Midwest Radio’s Michael D. McAndrew.

Anyone interested in fostering a pet should contact the North West SPCA Facebook page on messenger. Also the raffle fundraiser can be found on their social media pages or by clicking on this link.
