American hotel giants are gouging families near Irish hospitals, and they will not get away with it in the long term.
That’s the strong view of MEP for the Midlands North-West constituency, Ciaran Mullooly, who says that in order for there be VAT cuts in the hospitality sector there must be fairness on both sides.
MEP Mullooly has condemned what he called the “gouging and scalping” of patients and families by large American hotel chains near Irish hospitals, warning that any reduction in VAT for hospitality must be tied to strict fair pricing conditions.
