The continued wildfires occurring in Achill has been raised with the Commissioner in the European Parliament.
Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly addressed the European Parliament this week, highlighting the urgent crisis being seen on Achill Island and called for immediate, co-ordinated action at both European and national levels.
Commissioner Lahbib says that the EU are focused on building long term prevention through a number of different aspects.
