The Boil Water Notice affecting the Achill Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.
Uisce Éireann says customers can now resume normal use of their water following consultation with the HSE.
The notice also affected a number of group water schemes on Achill, including Ards/Currane, Bleanaskil, Dooega, Dooniver, Dugort, Sraheen and Valley 1.
The notice was issued on July 14th to protect around 2,557 customers following treatment process issues and high demand at the Achill Water Treatment Plant.
Uisce Éireann says remedial works have been completed and water sampling results have been consistently satisfactory.
