34 household in the Kiltimagh area, who have not had access to a clean water supply for almost three decades, are today enjoying a constant clean supply through the taps in their homes.
The plight of the residents in Cleregh/ Lisduff area of Kiltimagh and their campaign to secure a connection to the Kiltimagh Public Water Supply, has been a long saga, that was often highlighted here on Midwest News.
Local Fianna Fail councillor Adrian Forkan has described today as a great day for the community. The cost of the connection was close to 700,000 euro but he says it’s money well spent to provide a basic piece of local infrastructure.
