Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has this morning touched down in Ireland ahead of a three day state visit.
He is set to arrive to Mayo tomorrow and visit the village of Aughagower.
Our News Editor Teresa O’Malley has been in the village and spoke to a cousin of Mark Carney’s – Tom Nolan.
She also spoke with the daughter of the local publican Roisin Scott.
Michael Heraty is the Chairman of Aughagower Community Development Company and a third cousin of president Carney, Teresa caught up with him about tomorrow’s visit.
