615 patients are waiting on trolleys in the country’s hospitals today.
422 are in emergency departments, while 193 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
Figures from the INMO show University Hospital Limerick has the highest number waiting at 77.
That’s followed by University Hospital Galway with 68.
Elsewhere, in this region there are 40 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 19 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital and 14 at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.
