In glorious sunshine yesterday afternoon members of Castlebar Municipal District met in Belcarra Community Centre for the monthly meeting of the District.
Members of the Belcarra Community Council welcomed the councillors and council officials and Deane Kenny PRO of the local committee outlined three challenges, that the community are faced with and sought the District’s assistance.
The beautiful and well developed village needs improved public realm – in terms of road markings and speed controls. The community are seeking GMA funding for the staging of their annual Fun Run on June 22nd and called for action on vacant and derelict sites in the area.
