Three companies have been paid more than 70 million euro by the HSE since 2023 to help tackle hospital waiting lists.
The payments came to light following new data released to the Oireachtas Health Committee which showed one provider earned over 50 million euro.
However, payments to external companies, to use both HSE-owned and private facilities to help bring down waiting lists, have totaled over a billion euro in the past two years.
Labour’s Health Spokesperson, Marie Sherlock says money needs to be going into the right hands.
