There was a drop of 15% in the number of foreign visitors to Ireland in March, compared to the same month last year.
However they are up 4% on the year before.
CSO figures show visitors spent €326 million on their trips here, that’s down 22% on last year but is a 1% increase on the year before.
Overall for the first quarter of the year, there was a decline of 23% in the number of visitors travelling to Ireland, compared to the same period last year.
