An average of 112 pubs are closing every year, with a further thousand expected to shut their doors in the next decade.
That’s the according to a new report from the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland.
Just over 2 thousand have ‘shut up shop’ since 2005, with the highest numbers in rural counties.
In Mayo 135 pubs have closed since 2005.
It’s anticipated that tickets for the special train will sell out quickly.
