Galway United have boosted their attacking threat for the upcoming League of Ireland season with the signing of Tubbercurry native Sean Kerrigan.
The 22 year old has spent the last few years in the United States, where he has impressed in front of goal while studying in Michigan.
Kerrigan’s signing for Galway United has been confirmed to the media by manager John Caulfield.
Upon his recent return to Ireland, Kerrigan featured for Galway United’s first team last Friday, in preseason action against UCD – the former club of his brother Liam.
Liam Kerrigan is currently on loan in Belgium with SK Beveren, from Italian Serie A side Como.
The brothers are cousins of Celtic striker Johnny Kenny who recently made his league debut for the Scottish champions.
