Former Roscommon manager and captain Fergal O’Donnell will take the reigns as Mountbellew/ Moylough manager this season.
The Galway club will be hoping for a better campaign in 2025, after exiting the senior championship at the preliminary quarter final stage last year following defeat to Tuam Stars.
They won the most recent of their five Galway Senior Football Championships in 2021, and haven’t been in the final since.
O’Donnell captained Roscommon to the Connacht Championship in 2001, before managing the county minors to All Ireland glory in 2006.
He led the Roscommon seniors to the Connacht title in 2010, and returned as joint manager in 2015 alongside current Mayo manager Kevin McStay.
O’Donnell most recently managed Tourlestrane for two seasons, guiding the South Sligo club to a seventh county title in a row in 2022 and also to the Connacht final.
