Cill Chomain have bowed out of the Connacht Junior Club Football Championship.
The North Mayo men were beaten by a stronger An Cheathru Rua side from Galway today in Tuam.
Cill Chomain were one up at half time, 0-6 0-5, thanks to some expert score taking from veteran Derek Moran.
The Galway champions piled on the second half pressure and it was ultimately an Eanna McCormack goal that came as the game’s defining moment.
An Cheathru Rua now take on Ballymote of Sligo, who were emphatic winners over St. Barry’s today.
That final takes place in two weeks.
Today’s full time scores:
Cill Chomain 0-7 An Cheathru Rua 1-11
Ballymote 2-16 St. Barry’s 0-9
