A Mayo boxer has secured at least a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championships.
Eagle BC Nell McLoughlin secured the medal this morning as her mexican opponent failed to make the required weight this morning.
She is the IBA Neutral team's second medal and will fight in the Semi Finals on Thursday.
Meanwhile Ballyhaunis BC Carlagh Peake enters the ring today looking to secure a medal.
She boxes Tunisia today in bout 2 of the afternoon session which gets underway from 1pm.
Earlier in the week, St Anne's BC Padraig Corduff suffered defeat to Bulgaria in the last 16 while Titan BC's Marcus Barrett lost out in his last 16 decider to Albania.
