Sunday’s Mayo Senior Football Final could be in jeopardy as the county is set to be under a Status Orange Weather warning with Storm Ashley on the way.
A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Mayo and Galway on Sunday, as Met Éireann said Storm Ashley will "bring very strong and gusty southerly winds, coupled with high spring tides".
The warning will be in effect from 12 noon until 9pm on Sunday.
The whole of Ireland will be under a Status Yellow warning wind from 10am on Sunday until midnight.
Mayo GAA have confirmed to Midwest Sport that a CCC Meeting will take place this evening to determine the best course of action for Sunday’s final.
They will take a range of factors into account when making their final decision.
