The Paralympics Games are well underway in Paris with many Irish athletes hoping to bring home silverware.
Galway's Shauna Bocquet,from Craughwell, is the first Para Athlete on the track - in the heats of the T54 5000 metres.
That's underway shortly.
Another Galway native Katie O’Brien is due to begin her journey with Tiernan O’Donnell in the rowing this morning.
The Clarinbridge native will compete with O’Donnell in the first two heats in the PR2 Mixed Double Sculls.
Their race is postponed due to a thunderstorm.
Athenry’s Ronan Grimes is at the Velodrome today and will need a top six finish to advance from the Men’s C45 1000 metre time trial qualifying.
He’s due in qualifying this morning while the finals get underway just before 2:00pm Irish time.
