The Tom Waldron Run/walk took place over a 5k course at Claremorris on Tuesday evening (August 13).

The run was in aid of the charity Protect The Children Of The World.

The Tom Waldron 5K run helps alleviate poverty by the advancement of education for the benefit of children withdrawn from forced labour The charity wish to thank all the participants and sponsors.

Thanks also to the Waldron Family, Mayo AC, Claremorris Athletics Track, The Irish Red Cross, race organiser Christy Heneghan and his crew, and all the other volunteer helpers.

The overall winners were presented with The Tom Waldron Cups.
