The Mayo Women's League Rumley Cup and Mary Walsh Cup finals are down for decision at Umbro Park, Milebush, next Sunday, August 11.
The first of the divisional finals is the Mary Walsh Cup where Killala will face Westport United at 11.30 a.m. Manulla and Straide & Foxford go head to head in the Rumley Cup final at 2.30 p.m.
Killala go into the Mary Walsh final as table toppers in Division One, their only encounter with Westport this year being a close 1-0 win. Back in the women's league after an absence of a number of years, Westport are currently second on the league table and would be delighted to mark what has been a very positive season with a cup win.
Manulla will look to keep the cup named after their president Tommy Rumley in their honours cabinet having won it last year. The double also remains on course as they lead the Premier Division, and could they yet create history with a double treble with their Mayo Cup ambitions still very much alive?
Time will tell on that one but they can be assured that Straide & Foxford will be no pushover in the final. After celebrating silverware in Division One in 2023 and occupying a top half berth in the Premier Division this year, S&F will be well up to giving the Rumley Cup a new home - this promises to be a well-contested final.
Last weekend's women's league games saw Manulla winning 5-0 over Castlebar Town while Swinford saw off the challenge of S&F 3-1 to keep the pressure on Manulla in the Premier Division. With two matches for both left to play, Swinford trail Manulla by three points at the top of the Premier Division.
Killala enjoyed a 9-0 win over bottom of the table Ballinrobe Town in Division One on Friday evening.
