Westport United B won the Henry Downes Under 17 Shield yesterday evening at Umbro Park.
The young men from west Mayo had to come from behind to get the better of Achill Rovers.
Harry Callaghan put Achill 1-0 up after just five minutes.
His goal was cancelled out by Cathal Howley, who equalized for Westport on 25 mins.
The contest went right down to the wire, and over an hour after the game’s second goal, we got a winner.
Jack Collins scored in the 89th minute to give Westport the lead, which they carried to the final whistle.
