Willie Faloon's side face Italy in their tournament opener in Cape Town from 3:30pm.
Australia and Georgia are the other two sides in Pool B.
There are two Connacht players in the starting team for Ireland.
Finn Treacy of Galwegians wears 13 while Max Flynn of Galway Corinthians, who is uncapped at u20 level, starts wearing 7.
Among the replacements are Sean Naughton (Galway Corinthians) and Hugh Gavin (Galwegians).
