Oisín Joyce delivered a stunning performance today at the Bauhaus Jürgen Gala, clinching victory in the U20 javelin competition with a new personal best and national record.
The Irish athlete launched the javelin to an impressive distance of 73.72 meters, surpassing his previous best and etching his name in the record books.
Competing against a strong field of international athletes, Joyce's record-breaking throw not only secured him the gold medal but also marked a significant milestone in his athletic career.
Additionally, his outstanding performance achieved the U20 world standard, qualifying him to compete in the World Athletics U20 Championships in Peru in August.
