Burrishoole GAA Club is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the second annual Philly Cup.
This year, teams from Achill, Islandeady, Burrishoole, and a special Philadelphia side will participate in an exciting blitz on the evening of Thursday, 27th June with games throwing in from 5pm.
The U15 Girls teams will take to the field in what promises to be a fabulous evening for family and friends, featuring a BBQ and a wonderful atmosphere of camaraderie among all teams.
This event is particularly special as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA), which will be celebrated in July.
The Philadelphia GAA, one of the oldest divisions of the USGAA, has a long-standing tradition of promoting Gaelic games. Their youth programs officially began in Philadelphia over 30 years ago, and this year, Philadelphia is proudly returning to its roots and we look forward to hosting them as well as our local west Mayo teams in Burrishoole.
We welcome everyone to join us for an evening of great sport, food, and wonderful company as we celebrate the spirit of Gaelic games and community. It's set to be a fun-filled evening for all.
