Roscommon are through to the preliminary quarter finals in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.

Davy Burke’s side got their second win of the season yesterday evening against Cavan, racking up 3-20.

Diarmuid Murtagh racked up 1-6, with midfielders Ultan Harney and Enda Smith scoring 1-1 each.

Roscommon held a four point lead at half time, and were in front for the remainder of the game.

Darragh Lovett goaled for Cavan to bring the gap back to a point on 53 mins, with Smith’s goal two minutes later giving the Rossies a cushion again.
