On Sunday, the Brian O’Loughlin Memorial Road race is being promoted by Cunga C.C. in Cong, Co Mayo. It is ‘Round 3’ of the Cycling Ireland National Series.
There are four races, based from Cong Village, with sign-on open from 8.15am at Cong Community Centre. The women’s race, from 9am, is three laps of the circuit for a total race distance of 85.5km.
The Men’s A1-A2 race – five laps, 142.5km – starts at 10.55am while the men’s A3-Junior race – four laps, 114km – starting at 11:05am. There is also a men’s A4 race – two laps, 57km – starting at 11.05am. Junior riders with an A3 licence can enter the A1-A2 race.
