Liam McHale’s side came out fighting in the second half and managed to go level heading into the final few minutes.
The Mayo goals were scored by Sinead Walsh, to bring the margin back to four, and Saoirse Delaney to put just one between the sides.
Aoife Geraghty leveled matters on 58 minutes before Armagh star Aimee Mackin got the winner in the dying seconds.
