Ballyhaunis Community School have won the Connacht PPS Senior C Football Championship.
They were two points behind in the final this afternoon against Gortnor Abbey of Crossmolina at the break.
Derry Óg Cox goaled for Ballyhaunis in the first half, but points from Kobe McDonald, Diarmuid & Oisin Barrett as well as Dylan Flynn put Gortnor Abbey 0-8 1-3 up at half time.
Gortnor Abbey extended their lead in the second half thanks to a goal from corner back Ronan Walsh, before a late comeback from the eventual winners.
Senan Guilfoyle scored a penalty, before Charlie Johnston and Shane Gallagher both goaled to snatch victory for Ballyhaunis
They will now take on St Malachy’s of Castlewellan in the All Ireland semi final in St Matthew’s Park,m Crosskeys, Cavan on Saturday next.
