UCD are back in the Sigerson Cup final for the first time in six years when they survived a late comeback from UL to come through by the narrowest of margins at the SETU Carlow campus this evening.
Mayo senior footballers Rory Brickenden and Sam Callinan both started for UCD.
Callinan's club team mate Frank Irwin hit three points for University of Limerick.
Jack Fallon and Cian McHale also came on for the Limerick students.
UCD will now meet Ulster University in the final after they defeated Maynooth University 1-13 to 0-11.
