Lahardane MacHales’ journey in the All Ireland Junior Football Championship has come to an end.
Eddie Conroy’s side were beaten by a strong Listowel Emmets side from Kerry this afternoon.
The game’s only goal came in the first half following a mistake in the Lahardane kickout.
The Mayo junior champions managed just one point in the first half, with 11 points separating the teams at the final whistle.
Game number one of 2024 has ended in defeat for Lahardane, but they will of course have the Intermediate Football Championship to look forward to later in the year.
